S-Bahn: The Ausserfern Railway (S7) connects Reutte with Garmisch-Partenkirchen hourly via Lermoos and Ehrwald.

Regiobus Tirol: Direct bus connections run from Reutte to Innsbruck, the Lech Valley, the Tannheim Valley, Zwischentoren, and the Allgaeu – with access to several towns in the valleys.

RegioFlink drives on demand in the valley of Reutte flexibly to around 300 stops - ideal for short distances or trips outside of peak hours. RegioFlink can be booked via app or phone.

Anyone who moves to the Außerfern with their own vehicle or brings one from abroad should definitely inform themselves in advance about the applicable regulations. Depending on the country of origin and type of vehicle, costs such as NoVA (Normverbrauchsabgabe), customs duties or import turnover tax may apply. The use of foreign license plates is also only allowed under certain conditions - violations can result in significant penalties.
