In this Privacy Policy, we inform you pursuant to Art. 13 and 14 GDPR about the most important aspects of data processing on our website and in the context of our consulting, application, and placement activities.

2. Hosting and Email Communication
Our website is hosted by World4You Internet Services GmbH (Wolfgang-Pauli-Straße 2, 4020 Linz, Austria). The servers are located in data centers in Linz and Vienna. Email communication is handled via World4You’s own SMTP servers.
A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 para. 3 GDPR exists with World4You. World4You processes personal data only according to our instructions and in accordance with our specifications.

3. Contacting Us
If you contact us via contact form, email, telephone, or in person, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, phone number, message, request) for the purpose of handling your inquiry and for any subsequent consultation and support within the scope of our program.

Storage duration:
All contact data collected as part of our program support is stored for the duration of active assistance and up to three years thereafter. The storage period serves documentation, quality assurance, continuity of support, and compliance with funding-related retention obligations. After that, the data is deleted unless there are legal or legitimate reasons for longer retention.
4. Newsletter (Mailchimp)
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your name and email address. The newsletter is sent via Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., USA), which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Subscription takes place via a double opt-in process. You can revoke your consent at any time (unsubscribe link in every email).

If you use the contact form, the data entered (e.g. name, email address, message) will be sent via email to Verein Zukunft Außerfern. The data is used to process your request as part of our program support.

Newsletter and Alumni Forms
To register for the newsletter or alumni program, we use the "Mailchimp" service by Intuit Inc. (USA). Your data (name, email address) will be transmitted to Mailchimp.

Application Form
If you apply using the application form, your information (e.g. name, contact details, CV, and possibly other documents) will be forwarded via email to both the Verein and the respective company. The data is processed in the context of our placement activities.

Personal data submitted via the application form is stored in an access-restricted, non-public area and is only visible to authorized administrators, staff members of Verein Zukunft Außerfern, and the respective receiving company. Storage takes place on the servers of the hosting provider World4You Internet Services GmbH located in Austria.
9. Content and External Services (Storyblok, Third Parties)
Our website uses the headless content management system Storyblok for content administration. According to our technical service provider, Storyblok does not store or process personal data via the API and does not use external CDNs or services outside the EU.
In addition, the video service YouTube is integrated into our website. This is a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When a page with an embedded YouTube video is accessed, a connection is established to Google servers. In the process, personal data—particularly your IP address and possibly other device data—may be transmitted to Google and to servers in third countries (especially the USA).
Legal basis for the integration of YouTube is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in presenting our content attractively). If consent via a cookie banner is required (e.g. when active tracking by Google occurs), the content is loaded only after your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
10. Server Log Files
The web server automatically collects the following data when accessing the website:

Operating system
Referrer URL
Date and time of access
This data is used for technical security purposes (e.g. to prevent attacks) and is deleted automatically after no more than 14 days.

11. Storage Duration
Program Support, Contact Requests, and Applications:
All data submitted to us in the context of our program support—whether via contact forms, applications, emails, or personal conversations—is stored for the duration of active support and up to three years thereafter. The retention period serves documentation, quality assurance, continuity in support, and compliance with funding-related obligations. After this, the data is deleted unless legal or legitimate reasons require longer retention.
Newsletter Data:
Your data for newsletter distribution remains stored until you unsubscribe or revoke your consent.
Server Log Data:
Server log files (e.g. IP address, timestamp, browser) are stored for a maximum of 14 days for technical security purposes and are then automatically deleted.
