As Assistant Bar Manager at Alpenrose Familux Resort, you’ll support our Bar Manager in the day-to-day management of our bar operations. Together with your team, you’ll serve outstanding drinks, deliver warm and attentive service, and create unforgettable moments of enjoyment for our guests. You’ll be actively involved in bar service, take responsibility for daily operations and help us continuously develop our quality standards.

Some of your responsibilities:

• Supporting the Bar Manager with the overall organisation of the resort’s bar operations
• Actively working in day-to-day operations and being present at the bar during service hours
• Ensuring a consistently high standard of guest experience and service
• Sharing responsibility for leading, motivating and developing the bar team
• Ensuring compliance with all quality, hygiene and safety standards, including HACCP
• Assisting with staff scheduling, working time monitoring and holiday coordination
• Monitoring stock levels, goods flow, orders and the efficient use of supplies
• Contributing to the development and implementation of innovative beverage and bar concepts in collaboration with F&B Management
• Supporting cost control, efficient operations and revenue optimisation
• Engaging with guests and providing professional advice and attentive service at the bar
• Contributing to training sessions on beverage knowledge, mixing techniques and service quality
• Supporting events and special promotions
• Continuously improving workflows and maintaining an organised, high-quality bar environment

What you bring with you:

• Completed vocational training in hospitality, food and beverage service or bartending
• Several years of experience in professional bar service, ideally in upscale hotels or restaurants
• Sound knowledge of beverages, spirits, and classic and modern mixing techniques
• Knowledge of wine, cocktails and other beverage specialities
• Initial experience in supervising team members or working in a deputy management role is an advantage
• An understanding of operational procedures, stock management and cost-effective working practices
• Confident use of POS systems; basic MS Office skills are an advantage
• A natural passion for hospitality, combined with empathy, confidence and a strong service mindset
• A structured, detail-oriented and reliable approach to work
• The ability to guide and motivate team members and lead by example
• Strong communication skills and a professional manner when interacting with guests and colleagues
• Resilience, flexibility and the ability to make decisions, even during busy service periods
• Creativity, initiative and a willingness to contribute new ideas
• Good German skills; English skills are an advantage
• Enjoyment of hands-on operational work, teamwork and maintaining a professional appearance
